"You keep kids off the street by keeping them occupied. If they stay dormant, that's when trouble finds 'em. At this point in the city, our youth, especially K through sixth, they're the ones who need activities to do. You got a lot of single families who need a father figure--I got a guy who graduated years ago who still calls me 'Coach.' That's touching."
