Walking the streets of towns and cities, we sometimes feel the almost imperceptible breeze of strangers who walk next to us yet are separate from us. They are shopping, arguing, wandering, performing, trying to remain incognito.

Since I was a child, I have been drawn to those whom I do not know,
wanting to penetrate the almost impermeable barrier of the Other.

What I do is slow time down to highlight the people by whom I pass, whether through candid shots or street portraits. By making their images, I can form these connections and bring the Other to life for whoever views the photographs
