Stephen Wilson Marketing, Easton Hospital "We've gotta get people talking about hunger and I think we did this past week to show the film 'A Place at the Table,' and if we can use tactics like that, the film, we've got to get people to see it so that we have more minds, more bodies, more folks who are engaged in the issue to solve it locally. That's my hope: 'Let's get people to see things that inspire them to take action,' and that film does it." "What would you say to people who think that hunger doesn't exist here?" "It's a hidden issue. It's like the film even said: 'When people think about folks who are hungry, they have a picture in their mind that's not accurate to what hunger really looks like.' So they need to begin to see what hunger is and how hidden it is in our culture. Just go to an elementary school and you'll be able to pick out the kids who have and haven't eaten in the morning, just by behavior and their ability to concentrate. So, it's just not what folks necessarily think. 'Cause it's here. It's here in a big way.
